Art & Design: Personality Hats

  • Who are the people in the photograph and what they are doing? Look at their costumes and the relationship between the three characters in the photograph. Do they remind you of anything?
  • In the Gallery, get into pairs and choose a sculpture or painting that reminds you of a story or film you know. Note down some words that describe the artwork and make some sketches.
  • Use your ideas to design a piece of headwear for your "Gallery character" to wear. Think about shape, colour, decoration and materials and how they might describe your character's personality.
