Donagh's painting, which relates to the conflict in Northern Ireland, combines a linear style and the use of documentary as both source material and the 'ready-made'. In the lower half of her painting, Donagh has meticulously reproduced an image of a dead body based on a newspaper image of the loyalist Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF) bombing of Talbot Street, Dublin, in 1974. To the upper left, Donagh has pasted a newspaper cutting directly onto the surface of the canvas, a photograph of youths in Derry.
