The Fantastic Voyage of the Starship Disco
A symposium discussing the artist Glenn Brown

Wednesday 1 April 2009, 10.00–16.00
Thursday 2 April 2009, 10.00–16.00

Glenn Brown’s vibrant paintings combine the appeal of pop culture with that of visual art. Brown takes inspiration from the high and low culture that surrounds us: fantastical science fiction imagery, television, cinema, and music, as well as famous paintings.

Join this free symposium where third year students from Liverpool John Moores University History of Art and Museum Studies course present research papers and keynote lectures around the current Glenn Brown exhibition at Tate Liverpool.
