Take an in-depth look at a current Tate Liverpool display or exhibition, or select a theme from the list below. Led by an artist, each workshop is designed to encourage pupils to develop personal responses, share ideas with their peers and develop critical skills to understand and enjoy modern and contemporary art. We encourage pupils to work in notebooks or sketchbooks to support further work in school.
The following gallery workshops are available this term:
- Visiting a Gallery - Ways of Looking
- Self-Portraiture and Identity
- Looking at the Figure and Movement in Modern and Contemporary Art
- Dreams, Fiction and Narrative
- Signs, Symbols and Metaphors in Modern and Contemporary Art
Tuesday - Friday
10.00–12.00 and 13.00–15.00
£50 per workshop (up to 17 pupils).
These workshops are subsidised by the gallery and due to their popularity, schools are limited to two gallery workshops per term.
