Film Screening: Adele's Wish (2008)

This recently completed documentary by Terrence Turner depicts the controversial story behind one of the world's most valuable paintings - The Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer, recently restituted from Austria to America. The film follows the pursuits of Maria Altmann, who struggled for nearly a decade against the Republic of Austria to recover a number of paintings, stolen from her family in 1938.

Director Terrence Turner will be present to discuss the documentary after the screening.
