This one day course explores the extensive new Tate Collection display of modern sculpture ranging from 19th century figurative work to contemporary installations. A range of themes will be discussed including materials, processes and representation of the figure in contemporary sculpture. Besides slide presentations, students will be able to work in an informal atmosphere with the art in the gallery and take part in group discussions.

All welcome. No experience necessary.
