TATE ONLINE

Here & Now, There & Then

Monday 7 June 2010, 10.00–16.00

Work by artists of the St Ives School is used as a starting point for considering historical and contemporary art and its place in a wider social context. Focusing on the town of St Ives and its rich artistic heritage, and using contextual material developed as part of a recent oral histories project, you will:

  • Consider the impact of time and social change on artists and their work
  • Explore ways of engaging more holistically with visual art in the classroom
  • Make contact with other venues in St Ives who can support your teaching practice.
