First of a three session mini project


The focus of this session is the multiple interpretations surrounding contemporary art, and the transformation of transient language into a permanent physical form. Students are sent out individually or in groups to collect overheard comments about the artworks in the gallery. Phrases are then selected from these and used as the basis for woodcarvings.

  • To increase awareness of the role of multiple interpretations in understanding contemporary art
