This was the largest exhibition of Turner's work to be
seen in Germany. Of the 203 works in the exhibition, sixty
percent are from Tate Collections, including seminal works
from all periods of Turner's life, such as Fisherman
at Sea (1796), The
Decline of the Carthaginian Empire (1817), Snow
Storm (1825-30) and Peace
(1842).
Museums in the UK, the United States, New Zealand, Canada and others, also lent to the exhibition.
