Veronika Seifert

Veronika Seifert is a practicing artist, set and costume designer in major theatrical productions in Germany, Switzerland and Poland. She has won a Fine Art DAAD scholarship, first prize in the Hamburg Filmfest and was voted Most Promising Designer 2002 by THEATER HEUTE, a prominent German theatre publication.

Her building technique in her artwork is interlinked with her stage designs, both drawing on the idea of bricollage, the combination of diverse fragments. Not only a skilled designer, she also produces most of her work herself or in collaboration with theatre set-builders. Inspiration and ideas develop in relation to the performances for which she designs. In Veronika's sets and sculptures, fiction and reality blend into each other, creating something entirely new.

Since completing her Masters in Fine Art at Middlesex University, Veronika has been living and exhibiting in London.
