There are four entrances to the gallery:
Five wheelchairs and two mobility scooters are available at the gallery. You can either book them in advance, giving at least 24 hours’ notice, or ask a member of staff on arrival. You need to have driven a mobility scooter before if you want to use one at Tate Britain. To book:
We welcome guide dogs and hearing dogs in the gallery, drinking bowls are available just ask a member of staff.
Information Desks are located near the Manton, Millbank and Clore Gallery entrances. Staff are happy to help with any questions you have.
Accessible and standard toilets are located on Level 1 and in the foyer of the Clore Gallery.
Baby changing facilities are available on Level 1 near the Café and near the Auditorium in the Clore Gallery.
There are three lifts at Tate Britain:
All lifts have announcements indicating floor levels.
There is a free cloakroom on Level 1 which can be reached via a ramp or steps. You may be requested to leave briefcases, bags, sticks or umbrellas in the cloakroom. Large bags and rucksacks must be placed in the cloakroom. Buggies can also be stored here, subject to space availability.
There are seats and benches on Level 1, near the Rotunda and foyer area of the Clore Gallery. There are also a number of seats in the galleries. Folding seats are available, just ask a member of staff or at the Information Desks.
Card and cash pay phones are near the cloakroom on Level 1. They are equipped with volume control and inductive couplers, and are accessible to wheelchair users. Staff at the Information Desks will call the Dial-a-Ride service for visitors.
There are water fountains at the Manton Entrance and the Clore Gallery Entrance.
The Café and Restaurant are on Level 1. Both are accessible for wheelchair users. The Café is self-service, but staff are very happy to help if you need assistance. The Restaurant is waiter-service.
There are two shops at Tate Britain: the main shop on Level 2 and the Manton shop on Level 1.

Admission to Tate Britain is free, but there is a charge for special exhibitions. Concessionary rates are available for visitors with a disability, and carers’ entrance is free. Please see individual special exhibitions for more details.

A free multimedia guide in BSL with optional English subtitles is available from the Multimedia Desk in the Rotunda. It focuses on 15 works from the Collection.
A raised image gallery plan with Braille text is available from the Information Desks. Due to the large number of recent gallery changes large print gallery plans are currently unavailable.
There are large-print captions in the special exhibitions and displays at Tate Britain. Large-print copies of the special exhibitions guides are available at the Information Desks.
