Gargoyle
scenario by Ned, age 4

the gargoyle emerged from the darkness. lucy smith had no time to react. rushing backwards, she tripped on her beautiful muslin dress, which contrasted so wonderfully with the inky blackness of the castle. she was a ray of light and the gargoyle was jealous. he had been ugly since the day he was spawned forth into the world by a creature of the deep. with one stone claw he lurched forwards, the dark granite skimmed lucy's white cheek. he then bared the teeth, gruesome as they were, like hell itself. from the east, came captian lordon, her saviour. she had met him once, upon a ship, and had thought him very amiable. now, he sprang forth, and with his right arm, did deflect the beast, rendering it humiliated, and deafeated. it crawled back to its slimy dwelling. lordon and lucy got married the next day.
