'MAKE YOUR OWN DAMN ART DON'T EXPECT ME TO DO IT' - Bob and Roberta Smith's art demands active participation and encourages
the idea that art can be a force for change. During the summer, artist Bob and Roberta Smith worked in the gallery alongside
a group of fifteen teenagers from Lambeth to develop responses to Tate
Britain
's collection displays. The result of this project will be a two sided poster which will be launched in Britsh Art Week. The poster reflects on Tate Britain in relation to questions about identity. You can stick it on your wall or use it to
explore the gallery. Posters can be picked up for free from information desks in the gallery from Saturday 25 September until
March 2005.
