The Irresponsible Image

Wednesday 20 June 2007, 18.30–20.00

CANCELLED

Whether it be in a photo or a webcast, in our world of multi platforms, what sorts of individual responsibilities, both moral and ethical, do we hold? What boundaries exist as we now occupy multiple roles as makers, distributors and spectators? When are we being irresponsible; when has an image gone too far? How might we understand a ‘responsible’ image and who should be the editor – the state, the individual, the community? This event explores what we might mean by a ‘responsible image’ with artists and eminent industry experts
