In 2004, Phil Collins created they shoot horses 2004, a seven-hour, two-screen video work which shows nine Palestinians in a disco dance marathon.This piece encapsulates what Collins is known for: wit, sensitivity and cultural engagement. He encourages people to reveal their individuality and his personal engagement introduces bathos particular to his encounters. Collins creates work that is politically poignant with a light touch and generous sense of humour. The artist gives a talk about his travels, his processes and his videos.
