Van Dyck used sumptuous fabrics such as satin, velvet and lace to show the status of the people in his portraits. Blind and partially sighted visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the world of the seventeenth century aristocracy for this special event. The morning will be spent in the exhibition and in the afternoon we will create our own collage artworks.

Van Dyck and Britain supported by Wallis Annenberg and the Annenberg Foundation through the American Patrons of Tate, and by Tate Members - to mark 50 years supporting Tate.
