The Lure of the Emirates
Panel Discussion

Tuesday 17 June 2008, 18.30–20.00

CANCELLED

British and European artists were once "lured" to exotic locations in the East, but now European museums are attracted by financial incentives to set up offshoots in the United Arab Emirates. The complex issues behind the renaissance of contemporary art, architecture and museum culture in the Middle East, especially the Gulf region, are the topics of this panel discussion, which coincides with The Lure of the East: British Orientalist Painting.
