A one-day conference that explores the idea of documenting, obsession and process in contemporary visual art. With a particular interest in photography, this day will ask when does repetition fall into the category of obsession? How might artists use what might be deemed obsessive forms of practice to articulate core ideas and new forms of figuration? Might there be new and emergent forms of making and looking? Does this then lead to new and emergent forms of making and looking? Invited speakers include Briony Fer, Adam Phillips and Sophie Calle.

In collaboration with Kingston University's new BA Photography course and the Stanley Picker Gallery
