Free Reflections on Watercolour DVD for teachers

Request our new Watercolour Learning Resource, Reflections on Watercolour, a DVD examining how people use and think about watercolour today. Young people from Archbishop Tenison’s School and Tate Britain’s peer-led advisory group, Tate Forum, interviewed contemporary artists from the exhibition:

The DVD also contains interviews with Tate Forum artists and lively excerpts from exploratory watercolour workshops.

Tate Key Work Card Packs

These themed resource packs are for teachers to use in the classroom. Twelve A4 cards each focus on a particular work from the Tate Collection. On the front is a high-quality colour image of the work, and on the reverse is background information, ideas for discussion and links to other artists. Choose from Landscape and Environment, and Print Techniques. Price £10.

Tate Britain Multimedia

At Tate Britain students aged 13 to 18 can use the Collection Tour, with art historical context, activities, personal opinion, audio, film and contextual images.

The Family Guide for  7–12 year olds can also be used by primary groups with an adult. To reserve players please call 020 7887  3941.

Tate Shops

An impressive range of art books as well as items for school children. Please note: students under 16 can only go into the shops in small groups accompanied by adults. Call 020 7887 8876 (Tate Britain shop) or 020 7401 5167 (Tate Modern shop) or visit the Teaching Resources section of the online shop.

Educational Discounts

The shops offer a 10% discount on all library and school orders if you have an account – open one through the Tate Shops phone numbers above. There is also a mail order service. Both shops open before general trading hours for school or college librarians; call the shops to arrange this.
