John Martin was one of the most popular artists of the 19th century, renowned for his dramatic scenes of apocalyptic destruction. Although his name might not be so well known today, his paintings have had an enduring influence on popular culture. Taking inspiration from the exhibition John Martin: Apocalypse this event will explore his legacy from a contemporary viewpoint through a vibrant mix of performances, music, talks and films.
