Developed through research undertaken during his residency at Tate Britain, Tim Whitehead and his Quartet perform Colour Beginnings, musical responses inspired by JMW Turner’s watercolours. To capture the spontaneity and freshness of the works, Tim has composed from transcribed improvisations recorded in front of the paintings. With Tim on saxophones and voice, Liam Noble on piano, Milo Fell on drums/percussion and Oli Hayhurst on double bass.
