Urbanomic presents performance, film and other interventions exploring the emerging philosophical paradigm of Speculative Realism and its impact on contemporary art practice.
The Real Thing includes the premiere of newly commisioned sound works from Florian Hecker and William Bennett+Mimsy DeBlois, the screening of new video works by Amanda Beech and Mikko Canini, sculptural interventions by Pamela Rosenkranz and John Gerrard and a panel discussion with Amanda Beech, Mikko Canini, theorist Mark Fisher (K-Punk), philosopher Iain Hamilton Grant, Urbanomic director Robin Mackay and Pamela Rosenkranz.
