Encounter a gilded world of gold leaf, carved wood and moulded ornament and discover the traditional and modern techniques used by the studio with Frames Conservator Stephen Huxley.

Paintings Conservation

Take this rare chance to glimpse works undergoing ‘surgery’ and learn from Paintings Conservator Tim Green about the tools and techniques of the studio, where scientific tests, detective work and careful cleaning help to unveil the artist's original intention.

Tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis from the Clore Information Desk from 18.00 as there is limited space for each tour.
