Introducing Hogarth

Christine Riding, co-curator of Hogarth, introduces the key theme of the exhibition, which presents Hogarth’s work as strikingly modern and urban in nature and contextualises his celebrated patriotism and Britishness within the remarkably cosmopolitan artistic environments he inhabited.
