Shezad Dawood Selects Herk Harvey
Carnival of Souls

Sunday 26 April 2009, 14.00

In Carnival of Souls (Herk Harvey, USA 1962, 91 min, cert 15), a drag race takes a tragic turn when a car plunges off a bridge into a river, but miraculously Mary pulls herself from the wreck. After that a series of bizarre things happen, and she starts seeing a white-faced phantom. This horror classic follows Mary as she is increasingly caught between two worlds.
