First Friday of every month, from 19.30

As part of the gallery's Late at Tate Britain programme, the Rex Whistler Restaurant offers a special seasonal tasting menu on the first Friday of every month from 19.30. Head Chef Paul Newbury and Sommelier Hamish Anderson present a five-course menu matched with five specially selected wines.

Traditional afternoon tea
Every day, 14.30–17.00
£8.95 per person or £16.50 per person with a glass of Billecart-Salmon NV Champagne.
Enjoy an an unforgettable afternoon at the Rex Whistler Restaurant. High tea includes freshly made open sandwiches together with homebaked mini cakes and a choice of several varieties of Jing tea.
Kids can eat for free* in the Tate Britain Restaurant when an accompanying adult buys a main course and dessert from the a la carte menu.
*Valid at lunchtimes only for children aged 12 or under, and is for one child eating with an accompanying adult in the Tate Britain Restaurant. This offer can not be used in conjuction with any other offer and it is subject to availability.

Rex Whistler mural
The specially commissioned mural which envelopes the restaurant is titled The Expedition in Pursuit of Rare Meats and was finished by Rex Whistler in 1927.
