In the centre of this brief pencil sketch is a flat-bottomed boat, suggesting that what appear to be two figures to the left are standing on the banks of a river. Beyond the river, a single diagonal line indicates the ridge of a hill in the distance.

Blank except for inscriptions. Traces of white strips of paper along the edges of the sheet indicate an earlier mount. Inscribed in pencil ‘D25078’ top left of centre, upside down. Inscribed in pencil ‘232 | O’ bottom right.
