Whitfield Gill Fall is the second or ‘upper’ fall on Mill Gill, a little more than a mile north-west of Askrigg. This sketch records the falls as seen from the bed of the stream. On folio 5 recto opposite (D11450) Turner has sketched the more distant view from higher and further to the left.
