For Tate Tracks, Tate Modern and Tate Online joined forces with some of the biggest names in the music industry for an innovative project where musicians created new pieces in response to works of art on display at Tate Modern. Launched in September 2006, seven pieces were commissioned by March 2007 and they included: The Chemical Brothers vs. Jacob Epstein's Torso in Metal from 'The Rock Drill'; Roll Deep vs. Anish Kapoor's Ishi's Light; Graham Coxon vs. Franz Kline's Meryon; Klaxons vs. Donald Judd's Untitled; The Landscapers vs. Andy Warhol's Brillo; Union of Knives vs. Cy Twombly's Quattro Stagioni, and The Real Tuesday Weld vs. Mark Rothko's The Seagram Murals. The tracks are available exclusively in the gallery for the first month on listening posts next to the work of art and the following month at Tate Online as well as in the gallery.
