Tate Britain continues to be the home of the Turner Prize, sponsored by Channel 4. The prize is awarded to a British artist under 50 for an outstanding exhibition or other presentation of their work in the year leading up to 10 May 2002. The shortlist will be announced on 30 May and an exhibition of the shortlisted artists' work will be displayed at Tate Britain between 30 October 2002 - 5 January 2003. For the first time, the exhibition will be displayed in the Linbury Galleries. The prize will be presented in a live broadcast on Channel 4 on 8 December.
