Art & Artists FAQs
The Curatorial Department answers enquiries that require specialist knowledge about works in the Collection and more generally on works by William Blake, John Constable and JMW Turner and other artists.
As some enquiries may require lengthy research, curators will endeavour to reply within one month. Please note, Tate cannot authenticate or value works of art.
If you wish to contact Tate with a specialist enquiry, please send a photograph/reproduction of the work and any details that you may have to the Curatorial Department, enclosing a large self-addressed envelope. Tate will not accept unsolicited works of art and cannot take responsibility for material sent to a gallery.
