(b. Liverpool, England 1977)
Originally started in 1999, Daniel Brown's Flower Series uses advanced mathematics to generate growing organic depictions of imaginary plants.
Voted The London Design Museum's Designer of the Year 2004, Daniel Brown's work has looked to meld computer game technology with popular culture to create a new genre of design and entertainment. Often inspired by nature, Daniel aims to create interactive work that elicits an emotional response akin to listening to music or watching film. A director for renowned fashion photographer Nick Knight, his work is now archived in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Since May 2004 he has been selected for the London Observer's ‘80 people who will define the next 10 years’, Debrett's ‘People of Today’, Design Week's ‘50 List’, and I-D magazine's 250th anniversary issue.
