(b. London, England 1974)
Established as one of Britain’s most well-known choreographers and solo artists,
Akram Khan has received numerous high profile awards and nominations for his contribution
to dance. In 2000 he co-founded the Akram Khan Company which has performed at
leading dance festivals and venues worldwide, and in 2001 he became Choreographer
in Residence and then Associate Artist at the South Bank Centre, London.
